RECENT PROJECTS Server Room
The server room project MES140 involved the project management of asbestos removal and subsequent reinstatement of the ceiling, lighting and fire protection in a working server room. Strict control on dust was essential due to the sensitivity of the smoke detectors in the room. The room is the hub of the IT system for the plant housing the main severs for the BMS (building management system), test data storage and plant IT system storage.				The project sequence was: Disable low level fire protection Install a crash deck above servers Install temporary fire protection below crash deck Seal room above crash deck Remove asbestos Re-instate fire protection in place of removed asbestos Construct 2 x new fire walls 2 hour rated Decorate as instructed Re-instate upper fire psrotection Remove crash deck Fit new ceiling and LED lights Fit new low level fire protection Repaint upper walls
